I would like to learn Swedish in order to broaden my options for study in the future. This September, I plan on beginning a course in business with French. It is a two year long FETAC course that will allow me to progress to a related third level course. I hope to do a course in Applied Language and Intercultural Studies, or another similar course. I have already learned some Swedish, to a level beyond that of a beginner. However, I am self-taught and would much prefer to learn the language more formally. My goal is to take the Swedex test and I require a teacher who can bring me to a level where that will be possible. I am not opposed to starting from the beginning, if needs be, but I would much prefer to continue from my current level. Thank you.

I have been together with my now-husband Martin (Swedish) for 2,5 years. 2 years ago I started learning Swedish with a book Teach Yourself. The course is quite good, the only thing is it is hard to make oneself sit and learn:) In the book I am just on lesson 8... I see my Swedish friends and relatives about 6 times a year, it is then that I feel the pressure to speak the language, but it is always hard, and I panic.
We are planning to move to Sweden in 2,5 years. I am currently a PhD student, so I really need to put an effort into Swedish to continue my academic career in Sweden. I would like to apply for a position at Russian departments at Swedish universities in future, so, I reckon, the level of Swedish has to be high by then.
I need tuition, so that I feel responsible and motivated. I guess, I just need general Swedish, so that I could live in Sweden in future :)
I am looking forward to the classes!

I am a beginner in swedish with a limited knowledge of the language. My partner is Swedish and we will be moving to Sweden in about two years time. I want to have mastered as much as possible by the time we move. I will also be working there so it is very important for me to learn the language properly. I am looking for someone who can cope with my very irregular work schedule (I work for an airline) and possibly who lives in or near to Belfast, Northern Ireland.

I attempted the SFI (Svenska for Invanare) course in Sweden. I can understand some written swedish. I am at beginner level.
I love Sweden and loved living there, and having spent some time there at university, and some time after looking for work, I found that good swedish is an absolute prerequisite to living there. I would like to learn more about working swedish, for a job placement, conversation swedish I suppose is good enough. I would like an intensive course in re-acquiring and improving my level of the language. Ideally I would like to have a native Swdish speaker teach me, male or female doesn't matter, but someone with good diction and a good education.
