I learn languages because I enjoy talking to foreign people in their natve language. I enjoy the sound of foreign languages. I am a complete beginner in Arabic/Hebrew and an intermediate in Ukrainian/Rus sian.
I want to meet once a week. I could exchange language lessons-I am a teacher of Czech and English language.

My name is Laureline and I am a learner of the Ukrainian language. I started learning the Ukrainian grammar for fun some years ago with websites and grammar books / textbooks and I have two years of private lessons (once a week) behind me to dive into conversation. I have visited Ukraine once and practiced speaking with all people available, but the occasions are rare. I would say that my level is beginner: I am able to form simple sentences, understand very little when listening and a bit more when reading. I comprehend the grammar very well.
Having moved recently back to Europe (where I am from), to Brussels specifically, I miss the opportunities to continue learning and improving my oral skills at this language. I would really like to get the chance to converse with a native speaker once a week, if possible, adjusting to my professional schedule, which means either weeknights or weekends. I am not looking for any particular qualities in an instructor for this task, only to be patient and open to conversation topics which would enrich my vocabulary.

I would like to learn Ukrainian. I have taken Russian in university, and I have lived in Ukraine in the past, and did ok speaking with people. However, I have not used Russian at all in several years. I can still read Russian and Ukrainian but my grammar and vocabulary are very poor. I choose Ukrainian because I have relative that live in the west, and Russian is not favored, especially these days. I would like to be able to converse freely during every day events.

I wish to travel to the Ukraine as a potential property purchaser. I am a beginner and know almost no Ukrainian. I can spend 6 months of the year, full time with a tutor. I want to learn day to day speech for normal conversation.
