I am learning French in order to be able to work abroad with NGOs or the UN. I am at elementary level. I am doing group classes, but find these do not allow much time for conversation or speaking practice, so I wish to find someone to help me with pronunciation and speaking once or twice a week, for an hour or so, to supplement my classes.

I am seeking a private tutor for French lessons. There will be two students being myself and my partner. Ideally the tutor will be able to come to our home, but this is negotiable. We are learning French as we are travelling to France at the start of December this year (2010), our main goal is to have a conversationa l level of French to be able to travel on our own. Once we have travelled to France the focus would then shift to building a formal knowledge of the French language, grammar etc, as we would like to learn the language properly.
We are both beginners, we have taken French 1A at the CAE which is 24 hours of group classes.
W e would take one or two lessons per week depending on the price.
We seek a teacher that is a native speaker and has an up to date knowledge of the language.

My 15 year old son and I are keen to learn French, however are both beginners having not had the opportunity to learn at school. I work full time and my son is at school year 10, so limited time is available to learn / study. We are looking for a teacher who operates with a small group in Townsville please.
