I want to study the language of Korean because in about a year or two I like to go on a student exchange program. I want to learn Korean and be able to master at least Level 1. I'm looking for a teacher that has experiance in the past years that have thought Korean. Usually I prefer a native speaker, but a non native speaker will also be fine. Hope I can be consider as your student.
I'm also looking for a teacher who can teach me Thai. I'm a native Thai speaker although I forgot how to read and write Thai when I moved to Ameriaca 7 years ago. I want to be prepare when I go back to Thailand in two yeears.

I have been fascinated with different cultures in the world and I do hope one day I will be able to travel abroad. One thing I love is learning the language. I am a Filipina and lived there most of my life so I am fluent in it, and English is my second language. For a few years I've been on and off, learning Japanese and Korean by myself but whenever I fall of the wagon, it takes a while before I can continue again. I can read Hangul, not very proficiently or fast but I can read it. I wish I can broaden my language skills better and be able to use it in the future.

I'm preparing to take the TOPIK exam in June. I took a previous test and it seems I'm somewhere between a level 3 and level 4 (intermediate ). My goal is to ace the intermediate level, and especially become more proficient in speaking and writing.
I lived in Korea for 2 years - that's how I learned what I did, but now I live in the United States. I study for about 8 hours a week.
For a teacher, I need a jack of all trades - someone to help explain grammar points and to check over my compositions, then to chat for speaking practice. :D

I have a keen interest in taking up Korean partly because of business prospects but mainly because my partner is Korean and I want to be able to master the language in order to build a closer relationship having the chance to understand the culture and interact with my partner's family and close friends. I would like to be able to converse, read and write the language. Basically, I want to be able to be fluent in the language in the next 2 or 3 years period and due to my busy schedule, I would still like to commit at least a 2 hour session once a week (more lessons if time permits) and I am looking at someone who can guide me through the learning process properly to help me build a good foundation especially in writing and conversation. I want to learn the language from scratch the way a Korean child would learn in school because I do not want to skip the basics and just purely memorise Korean phrases. The teacher has to be flexible and quick to spot my strength and weaknesses so that I can improve and progress along with him or her and we will be able to ensure that I will be able to read, understand and write Korean accurately and fluently at the end of the day.
