I am an American law student who is looking to learn Mandarin Chinese. I have no previous instruction in Manarin, so I am at the beginner level of proficiency. (However, I should mention that I have some background in conversationa l Cantonese). Basically, I want to learn Chinese for personal fulfillment and also for potential career advancement.
