I just learnt a little Thai and know quite a bit of Mandarin. It was interesting to know that some words are the same such as the word for three. I wish to learn to speak more Thai and have a book entitled 'Thai for Beginners' by Benjawan Poomsan Becker. I love the conutry and also am now Buddhist and follow all the rituals and culture of Thailand. I love the north of Thailand and plan to live and work there after 2009. Hi I am a New Zealander who is learning thai. I lived there for a few months and picked up some of the language. Now I am learning in New Zealand from a book! I need help with conversation or no one is going to understand my terrible tones. : )
I would like to find a teacher to have a lesson once a week in person or more regularly over the internet perhaps on skype. I often visit chiang mai and want to be able to communicate better. Thanks Rachel
