My children and I are attempting to learn as much Arabic in 1-2 yrs during our temporary stay in Amman. We can understand some Arabic (recognize letters, read small words,and speak a few phrase to hold a conversation) but we are still at the beginner level. We definitely need improvement in grammar, writing as well as conversation. I would like to have 3 consecutive classes per week. I have grouped my kids in two levels. Beginners7-9 yrs. old and the 12,14, and 16 yrs. old in a higher beginners course. I am looking for a tutor who gives importance on building a good relationship with children. There must be mutual respect between student and teacher. The tutor may not need to be certified but have some experience in teaching Arabic as a 2nd language. I would require an interview. I am not looking for a lot of qualification s, certificates, and or accomplishmen t; rather quality in performance. Finally, the tutor must be female and a practicing Muslim. Salary is negotiable and bonuses will be given upon accomplishmen ts.

I am planning to emigrate to Dubai this Autumn and feel it would be rather useful for new opportunities in my career if I could grasp a good understanding of the arabic language before my departure.
Although my family currently live in Dubai, I myself have not lived in the Middle East since I was 9 years old therefore I have a very little understanding of the language at present. I would like to believe that I am a quick learner in terms of language and will show a willingness to learn.
Mostly I will be looking to start with basic grammer and converstation topics however I would like to study some business topics also if I learn quickly enough.
I would like to have at least 2 hours of private lessons per week but will try and do about 10 - 15 hours self study also around my personal schedule. I do currently work & live in Edinburgh but am happy to come through to Glasgow for my private lessons aswell.
Pr eferrably I would like a teacher who is patient and who can help me with all of the above issues.

i would say i am at a beginner level
i am used to the accent. when i listen to native speakers i can recognize
wo rds that i am familiar with. i can also read but more like a child would read rather than a fluent adult.
i would like to devellope my conversation skills, increase my vocabulary and read properly.
i can dedicate the coming 4 month of this summer. Now the frequency of meeting with a teacher could be determined by the teacher assesment of my current abilities.

I can give up to 2 hrs a day or if intensive classes then with some warning I can do up to 8 hrs a day
