I am a beginner, and wish to learn Arabic for basic conversationa l purposes. I have no experience with the language, and wish to meet at least once a week for in person lessons. I live in the West of Montreal, but can commute for lessons if needed. Ideally, I am looking for a teacher whose native language is Arabic, preferably female but not necessarily, is of Muslim faith, and is sociable such that our lessons would be to learn, and to have fun at the same time.

Hi there
I'd like to learn Arabic as I'm very interested in the language. I am currently at lower intermediate standard. I can read and write all the letters, and speak basic phrases. I'd most like to improve my written and spoken Arabic. I'm looking for a 1 or 2 month intensive course in Syria in July/August 2010.

- I am learning foreign languages for my political future.
- I am fluent in English, French and Polish, with intermediate proficiency in German, Spanish, Russian and Arabic.
- I need to improve my speaking skills and perfect my grammar. In general, I just need practice.
- I would like to have at least one lesson a week with homework assigned.
- I look for a motivating and inspirational teacher that can make me want to learn my language. I also require a challenge, and a teacher that will be too easy will make me lazy and complacent.
