My son lives in China. He lives in Tonglu where English is not spoken. I would like to have a basic vocabulary so that I don't need his company everywhere. I will be going at the end of June . I realise this is not much time but if I am picking the language up I will continue with lessons on my return.

Career advancement, as I am looking to learn Russian and Ukranian so that I when I graduate from my Masters degree I can then go to Russia or Ukraine to teach english, work at orphanages, children's shelter's and street children therefore it is essential that I can speak the language! Also this summer I am returning to Perm, to work with a childrens charity loves bridge, where I worked this winter, and need to learn as much as I can as quickly as I can to enable me to have a larger and more positive impact on the lives of the children. My proficiency is still at beginner level, and I have to improve in all areas grammar, conversation and writing. The qualities I am looking for is preferably a native speaker, whom can teach me in person but also help to advance and expand my knowledge during my free time.

I would like to learn German as I have visited the country on several occasions & would like to be able to converse as I intend to be a regular visitor.
M y proficiency is beginner.
I could dedicate two evenings per week.
The qualities I'm looking for in lessons is just to be taught enough to get buy in social situations & not be feeling left out of conversations .
Ideally a teacher in the West End of Glasgow.
I'm sure the quality of teachers is first class and will therefore have the required qualities.

Im hoping to learn some Russian as i work in an airport with many eastern european flights and to learn a common language would be useful. Also i have a friend in sevastopol that i am visiting in the summer and would like to have a basic grasp of the language for when im there.
