I am an adult wanting to learn to speak Thai because I am having a relationship with a Thai national.
I am very much a beginner and so need improvement across all areas of the language. Of course I am also interested in learning more about Thai culture and values although I have a basic understanding of this already. I have travelled to Thailand on many occasions for holiday, and have been communication with my Thai partner now for three months.
How much time I am able to dedicate to learning will depend on my work schedule (I have to travel quite a lot) but hope to devote not less than four to six hours per week, with two to four hours per week being in private lessons.
I am looking for a well qualified, experienced and patient teacher to provide private lessons in central Melbourne area.

Hi all
Why:
I am looking to study polish for my girlfriend, she is from a polish background and the language and culture is very important to her, so I wish for it to be important to me as well.
I am having real issues finding a polish teacher down in Hobart so although I would prefer a face to face teaching style (I work better face to face) I am more than happy to do online if it means I may get somewhere.
Proficiency :
I am a beginner in the polish language, I have grabbed a couple of learn polish books from the library with limited success but I would benefit from a structured course/plan, I can speak maybe 10-15 words, I can understand a few more but do not remember how to say them until they are said to me.
Improvement :
I need improvement in all areas but as it has been pointed out to me I have issues pronouncing words.
Time:
As much time as needed to get a basic grasp on the language to be able to speak enough to have a conversation with someone in polish.
Qual ities:
Someon e who is patient as I am not the fastest learning student.

I am learning Mandarin as I want to become a diplomat and need to learn a second language. I have been studying chinese for about 2 years now. I think I need to focus on my vocab, grammer, conversation and also my pronounciatio n. So basically I want to be fluent in chinese. I am willing to spend time and work very hard to learn chinese. I am looking for a teacher who can suit my learning needs and come prepared to class. I would like my teacher to prepare the lessons suiting my needs. I would also want the teacher to be able to come to my house.
