I am a native Arabic speaker and excellent English speaker as well. I am working in the Shipping Industry in which most of my colleagues, clients and friends are Indians; and therefore would like to enhance my level of communication with them and of course it will be a career advancement as well.
I need to learn Hindi from scratch as I have no previous knowelege about it.
Would like to spend an hour or maximum 2 per class, with an average twice a week.

I have studied Hindi and Urdu for about a year at the University of California, Santa Cruz and at the Landour Language School in Mussoorie, India. i would consider myself at an intermediate proficiency level in both languages.
I am interested in learning these two languages, among other south asian languages, in order to find work abroad and relate to other cultures.
I think i need improvement on my grammatical knowledge, reading, and conversation, especially vocabulary.
I would like to meet with a teacher at least 3 days week for a minimum of one hour. but i am willing to meet more often and for longer periods of time.
I am looking a teacher with an adequate knowledge of hindi/urdu vocabulary and grammar rules. one who will focus on oral grammar drills,readin g stories, conversation and, perhaps, dictation from readings.

Dear Manav,
I am interested in learning converstation al hindi. I learnt a bit when I was very young from my father but he died when I was quite young and so never really learnt the language. My father was born in India but I was born in Guyana, South America where the language is not part of the culture there. I have always regretted not learning my native tongue so figure it's never too late.
Also I am in the midst of writing a screenplay in English which I hope to translate in Hindi before publishing.
Please let me know at your earliest if you can assist me in this quest of mine.
