I started taking French lessons half way through last year at Alliance Française, I feel I learned a great deal and had loads of fun but I feel I need a more one on one approach to practice my conversation as well as learning the grammar to gain a bit more confidence.
My short term goal is to be able to generally communicate with locals when I visit France in September/Oct ober 2010 but would ideally like to continue my studies and improve my skills upon my return.
I am very serious about learning, but I believe it should be enjoyable. I liked the relaxed attitude of the tutors I had at Alliance. The lessons were fun and interesting so I guess that is the approach I am looking for. I like homework and any tips for everyday practice will be adhered to.

I am currently studying for AS level french in the UK but am in Melbourne for 8 weeks on business. I would like to continue with oral practice and grammar etc while I'm here. I have a text book and a tutor in the UK who can guide on what we should be covering. I am looking for 1 - 1.5 hrs of tuition per week prefereably in the evening.

I have always wanted to learn French and after visitng there last year, it would very much like to put it into action. I have never learnt French before and only know a word or two.
I would like to spend about an hour a week at first.
I am a visual learner and I also learn well through repetition, so writing out sentences etc would be most beneficial to me - so patience could be required!
