I moved to Amsterdam 1 year ago. I work in a Dutch enviroment and must speak it, I tried going to Vught for 1 week and barely came back with the basics, in November I had a stroke (which I am now recovered from) and lost most wwhat I had learned. I have a fear of learning languages and no confidence, but the pressure is now on from my company to learn and speak as quickly as possible. I feel one to one tuition is the only way I can learn properly. I have two young children who are now both completely fluent! I am a strong character who works in safety and security so am good at pressure situations... ...apart from learning Dutch. My partner is Dutch so I have the support at home.
