I studied French in college and spent a semester in Grenoble, now that I have graduated I'm worried about forgetting what I've learned. I am intermediate level speaker. I could use improvement in all areas however I feel the most valuable would be conversation. Ideally I could have a lesson at least once every two weeks and once a week at the most. I'm looking for a native French speaker as my teacher.

Spanish - Living in Dallas I find that spanish would be a huge asset. I like to understand what is being said around me as well. It would also be helpful for my job. I am mostly a beginner. I took Spanish lessons over 10 years ago. I remember some things but not enough to say I am more then a beginner.
French - My boyfriend is in culinary school @ Le Cordon Bleu. He may join me for this lesson. I would like to travel to France and be able to communicate while there, as well as after. Having some highlight on cooking vocabulary would be useful as well. We may look to move there eventually.
Slovak - I have family from this area. I would like to be able to communicate with them.
Time: I do not know how much time I am looking to put into lessons. That will be determined by price vs. value. Ideally I would think 2x a week.
Teacher: I get bored easily if I do not feel challenged or engaged. I like to have fun and laugh. I would like a teacher that is relaxed, easy going, and flexible. I work unusual hours and will likely need to meet at different days and times each week.

I have been living in Rwanda for the past 2 years producing films for Non-Profits. I was able to study French every now and then because Rwanda is a french speaking country. But I never was able to truly learn French. I constantly travel and never really was in Rwanda. So my time to practice was very limited. Also, they mix swahili and another local language so the French I know was usually spoken with a mix of other languages. I am now back in Dallas, TX for a few months before I move my business to Paris. I like to spend some time while I'm here learning more French.

I am learning French for my personal enhancement and enjoyment. I am a beginner with one year of classes at the Alliance Francaise.
