My wife is from Pakistan, and I would like to be able to communicate with her and her family in Urdu. I know only a few words and would like to learn quickly. I can meet after work (after 6:30 PM) during the week and some weekends. I am looking for an experienced teacher, very fluent in English and Urdu, with supporting materials to assist outside of tutorial sessions.

I plan to learn all three languages as I am a beginner for Urdu and Arabic. Currently I wish to focus on Urdu. I am learning Urdu and Arabic for family reasons and Spanish will be for career advancement. I have no experience with grammar, conversation for Urdu or Arabic. I would like to have 3 hours per week dedicated to learning the language and becoming proficient. Qualities for lessons: study material (i.e. book to study), step by step process in learning (grammar to sentence structure to conversations ). I am hoping the professor is patient and understanding as I learn the language.

I am trying to learn Urdu and am a beginner with no experience or current understanding of the language. I am learning the language because it is my husband's family's native tongue and I'd like to understand and converse with them in their language.
Being, as I don't know any Urdu, I need improvement in all areas. I am mostly interested in the conversationa l aspect.
I' d like to dedicate as much time necessary to the language lesson. I'm thinking 3-4 times a week of lessons in the beginning, but am open to discussing alternatives.
I am looking for a teacher who is patient and can help me learn the language most effectively in the quickest time possible. I want a teacher who is thorough and flexible.
