I am french. My husband is Chinese and we have a 2 and a half year old boy.
We are looking for someone to come and speak chinese to our son as his dad works a lot and his exposition to chinese (mandarin) is not sufficient.
he is very small so we are not looking for formal lessons but someone who could come to our house once or twice a week for an hour and a half each time and just play with him/read stories while speaking chinese to him.
We live in Arakawa Ku tokyo.
We would be paying 1200 to 1500 yens per hour. I would always be present in the appartment so there is not responsibily for the tutor of being left alone with a small child.
If you are interested or if you know anybody who would be interested please contact me. I think this would be a good job for a student, preferably a girl but a male student who enjoys talking to children would be ok too!

I have been learning for 1.5 yrs via private tuition and would rate myself as basic competent Level 2 Chinese Mandarin. My current teacher is moving into the public sector full time, so l'm looking for a tutor who meet me mostly during lunch times, after work and/or weekends. I currently have 2 to 3 lessons per week.
My objective is to reach a business level speaking and writing essentially for career development, as well as to keep up with my kids who are also learning the language.
I find l work best with contemporary teachers of mandarin, l learn best through practice with a structured learning program and assessment. The teachers need to be flexible around schedule as l travel quite a bit with my work. In terms of style the teacher needs to be open to lots of questions and of course patience. A high level of competence in business mandarin, preferably a native Chinese speaker as l travel through this country very often and have been learning the differences between Singapore and Chinese mandarin.

Mand arin Chinese is the most spoken language in the world. In addition, China's commitment in being the world's producer along with its vast resources has left several opportunities for all people in this world.
However, it is difficult to tap into this huge market due to difficulties in speaking, writing, and reading the Official Language of The People's Republic of China, Mandarin Chinese.
I have visited Hong Kong and China several times for business trips. I manage my own company in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I realized that I could experience many potential career advancements if I managed to learn Mandarin Chinese.
T herefore, my objective in learning Mandarin Chinese is to be able to speak, write, and read in Mandarin Chinese for doing business in China along with the basic fundamentals that helps in relating to my friends there.

Ar eas: Speaking, Writing, Reading, Business Communication .
Current Languages: Arabic (Native Language), and English (Full Professional Proficiency).
Dedicated Time: Ongoing - 4 hours a week (2 Live in person sessions - Public or Private) along with 1 hour for assignments (if needed).
P referred Timing: Evening Sessions (from 9:00 pm ~ 11:00 pm) or (from 10:00 pm ~ 12:00 am).
Locat ion: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (inflexible as I am working full time).

I am a 4th year Business student and desire to learn essential and basic Mandarin as that will be a critical skill and language in the near future. To conduct international business as well as build good relations, I believe that being fluent in several languages will be a good asset to have. I am moderately oral in Cantonese and have a basic grasp of Vietnamese - I wish to improve my oral skills for those languages as well.
Conv ersational Mandarin is my goal. I will dedicated 2-3 hours a week to learn as I have a full-time job and enrolled in part-time school.
