I am a beginner. 3rd generation that never learned polish. Understand a few things, but don't speak, read or write. All of my friends speak it and I always wanted to and I feel that I could learn very quickly. I learned spanish in 2 years and can use it fairly fluently. I would like to take lessons once to twice per week (on my days off from work) and I would be dedicated. The family joke is that I only know my prayers and swear words, and even those sound sloppy and mis-pronounce d.

I am very interested in learning how to read, write and speak good Polish on a conversationa l level. I am a beginner with an ability to pick up languages rather quickly.
Because my husband and I are planning to adopt children from Poland, I would like to begin studying the language soon, and would like to be part of a small, informal class with no more than three students.

The reason why I want to learn to speak Polish is because my wife, as well as my in-laws are fluent in Polish. Knowing that we will raise our children to speak both languages, I would like to get the head start and begin learning the Polish language. It is something that I want my wife to hold onto for the rest of her life.
I would like to start from the beginning and work all the way to being able to converse with people. At this time I only know basic words.
I would be able to dedicate at least 1x per week.
