I will be going to Basel, Switzerland for studying and would like to be able to understand the language better and communicate with people there. I have heard that they speak German in that area.

Hi my name is Megan i'm studding German at year 10 level. my grades have dropped since last year the German has become harder so my understanding has decreased i love learning German it's one of my favorite subjects and i'd like to be able to speak to my family over in Germany when i go later this year i need improvement on basically everything.
