My husband is in the military and we are moving to Fort Bliss in Texas. I have a master's degree in elementary education and need to learn Spanish quickly! I have been listening to Spanish Teachig CDs in my car for the pas several months so I have a decent starting point but i need a lot of work in coversational Spanish so I can communicate with my future students and their parents. All of the present available teaching jobs in El Paso require bilingual abilities in Spanish. This is a very high priority for me. I would like to do lessons on the weekends and some during the week after 7 Alabama time.

I am interested in learning conversation Hindi to begin with. I would like to be able to converse with my partner's mother when she comes to visit (she only speaks Hindi/Gujarat i).
I have used the LiveMocha site for a little while, but I know that I do best with person-to-per son learning and practice. I am starting at the beginning. Learning Devangari/wri ting is less important than the actual comprehension and speaking at this point.
I would like to discuss the time with the potential tutor, possibly once a week with assignments given to complete between sessions?

I speaks in English, but I started notice that I don't have any improvements in my English. My prononciation has an acent, and people immediately recognize that I'm immigrant. I think Gaelic is a beautiful language and hope to not only become fluent but also teach it to my future children and possibly others. I am a beginner. I have been listening to lessons and gaelic radio stations for a couple months but need someone to practice having conversations with.
