I have chosen Dutch as a subject in my Year 11/12 International Baccalaureate program at Indooroopilly State High School. As I lived in The Netherlands from age 3 to 7 and have spoken Dutch at home since moving to Australia in 2003, I am quite fluent in speaking. My reading is still quite weak, and my writing elementary at best. I expect I will have to spend one or two hours of lessons plus two to four hours of homework a week to reach the level required for the IB exam. I am looking for a teacher formally qualified and personally motivated to get me there.

My name is Michael I have recently found out I can get a dutch passport and have allways want to live in Holland as my parents were born there. I have a very good oppitunity for work over there through my company contacts but relise that I really need to speak dutch and write lol ! well maybe write alittle ;-)
I have very little experince in dutch
I really want to do this for a carree advancement
I think I would want to have lesson once a week for a month or so and then what ever works.

I am wanting to learn Dutch. I am at beginners level - I have recently completed a six week course in beginners Dutch at the Adult Learning Center in Melbourne and am keen to continue. I am looking to have tutoring once or twice a week from a knowledgable tutor who is relaxed and encouraging. I lived in the Netherlands with my partner last year who is Dutch himself and will be going back when my visa is approved and would love to be able to return with a basic grasp of the language as I didn't learn much when I was there previously.
