Hello,
I want to learn Khmer for my future husband. My future mother in law cannot speak any language except Khmer. So I want to learn her language. Also I want to learn new language.
My proficiency level is beginner as I don't know a word of this language.
I particularly want to know khmer language for conversation. Writing and grammer is not a matter as long as I can speak and understand khmer.
I can dedicate one day a week which is Sunday to learn it. I cannot afford too much payment too because I am just a student with a casual job.
I want the teacher who live in or around Springvale since it will be closer to my home.
The teacher I am looking for is the one who is very very patient because I am purely beginner in this language and I also don't have too good memory =) . Also I would prefer the teacher who is over 40 years old because I believe that the older a person is the more patient he/she becomes =) .
So, please email me if you are interested in teaching me Khmer and if you have the qualities I am looking for in a teacher.

I lived in Cambodia for 3 years and learnt some of the language. Now I am married to a Cambodian and have two children learning from their father. I would like to improve conversationa l skills as well as study reading and writing, as I intend to live in Cambodia eventually. I would like one lesson a week with my 3 year old son present. A suitable teacher for me is one who has experience teaching and can structure lessons in a way that I can practise all skills. I would also need to be given plenty of homework.
