I am moving to Norway and need to complete a test in Norwegian to get into a university. I am on a beginner level and need improvement in all aspects of the language. I have always had a strong desire to learn a second language, but found that conventional teaching, in a classroom setting could only advance what I learned to a certain point. Both at the high school and university level.
I strongly desire to become competent at conversationa l Norwegian, to which I am certainly a beginner. I have however been studying Bokmål vocabulary and grammar for nearly a year and a half. I am able to do some reading of the language and can usually get the general meaning of simple writing. Most headlines I see on newspaper websites I can understand. I would guess that my pronunciation is poor as I have never been able to practice it with someone who could correct me.
I would like to practice conversation and grammar, and am willing to devote 3-5 hours a week on this.
