I was to learn Russian because I am moving to Russian in less than a year. I have no previous knowledge of the Russian language. I need to improve my grammar and conversations . I am planning to travel to the Ukraine. I have very little knowledge of Russian, so I'm an absolute beginning. I'm interested in conversationa l Russian. I'm a relatively recent college graduate who took about two and a half years of Russian classes at Rice University. I also spent a semester in St. Petersburg, where I further developed my speaking, reading, and writing skills. But this was two years ago and I feel as though I've forgotten everything I learned. I don't have any particular reason for wishing to continue with Russian, except that I really enjoyed learning the language. I also intend to eventually pursue a Master's/PhD in Comparative Literature, which necessitates a proficient degree of knowledge in at least two languages other the English, so I'd like to focus especially on reading, writing, and grammar. I do think, however, that my speaking skills are the weakest. Ideally, I want a teacher who is patient and understanding , has a robust sense of humor, and is not afraid to push his or her pupils to the highest level of their abilities. I would ideally like to dedicate 2-3 hours a week of instruction. I work from 9-5 Mon-Fri, so I am free all evenings and anytime weekends.

Good Morning,
I work as a webmaster for a large firm in Houston. Recently I have created a website in Russian and attended a conference last week for optimizing the website in Russia for better results.
T he suggestion was made for me to work on learning to read Russian. Since the ending of the words change depending on how the words are used. He thought I could learn in about 6 weeks so at least for my purpose it would give me the start of what I needed.
Fi rst do you think this is possible? I live in New Braunfels but travel to Houston at least twice a month so I am available online and in person.
