I'm definitely a beginner in the language. I've always wanted to learn Gaelic and I'm planning a vacation to Scotland for June 2006 so I would at least like to have a grasp of the language by then. I work full time and I'm also a full time graduate student so this would be something I would do on the weekends. I would like to do audio and bookwork on my own and have the teacher correct my work, help me with my pronunciation , and basically tell me what I'm doing wrong, so this can be done by phone or voice chat in conjunction with email. I'm currently taking online classes for my Masters degree so I'm very comfortable communicating and completing coursework at a distance.

i would like to learn to speak farsi fluently so i can actively participate in family gatherings with my in-laws. i spent 17 days in iran this march, but felt left out of many of the conversations because i did not understand or speak farsi. i would be a beginner and would like to dedicate 30-60mins 3-4 days a week learning the basics. i'm hoping to find someone who is a native speaker and will be able to teach me the 'spoken' farsi as opposed to the formal farsi. i understand that many persian do not speak formal farsi. is there any hope.

I would consider myself to be a beggining learner. First of all I am interested in learning about islam, and maybe even converting. By me being a beginner I will need lots of improvment. I would like someone that is willing to take time and teach me the language in order to read the Quran. I would like to dedicate 2 hours at the most for my language sesions. I am looking for a teacher who is caring and considerate willing and trustworthy.
