I am studying Russian because I have a passion for learning languages, and I want to work in a field that allows to me to work with Russian Relations. I have been studying for 3 years, so I have mastered writing and reading, but speaking and grammar needs to be developed further. I have no problem with listening or comprehension . I am looking to devote 2-3 hours a week to lessons, and am looking for a professor that can assist me in becoming more comfortable speaking conversationa lly and willing to teach me vocabulary that is relevant and useful in my every day conversations .

Haven't started learning a new language but want to start studying Croatian or Slovenian. My family immigrated to the U.S. from Croatia and Slovenia and I want to explore my cultural roots. UI am the parent of a high-function al special needs child. She is a freshman in the CCS, she has selected French as her mandatory foreign language for credit. This is the first time she has taken a foreign language class. French is a challenge for her. I'm not sure where her strengths or weak areas are in respect to French. Isherwood is a very visual, and hands on learner. Would like help turning her failing grade into a passing grade.

I began learning Portuguese in college to compliment my business degree. As part of my studies I spent three months in Brazil (Curitiba) living with a family and taking Portuguese classes at a local university. Through my studies, I would say I am at an intermediate level.
At this time I am hoping to improve my Portuguese in all areas. I am looking for an opportunity to use the language more frequently in addition to improving my skill.
I am willing to dedicate about 1-2 hours a day (5-10 hrs/week) to instruction.
Ideally, the lessons or teacher would be in person, but I am willing to explore other options.

In anticipation of being stationed at the US Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia, my wife and I are eager to learn Serbian. We have zero, nada, zip, zilch, experience or eduation in Serbian. In addition, we are hoping to learn a little about the culture, people, and traditions of Serbia.
We would like to spend about 1-3 hours/week in one-on-one lessons. Basic conversation would probably benefit us most (especially my wife as she will be more on her own without a translator than I am).
