I'm learning Tibetan as part of my strong personal interest in Tibetan culture, history, religion and arts. I'm a beginner and my objective is to learn both grammar (being able to read classical and modern texts) and conversation.

I am learning the language hoping to understand deeper into the teachings and writings of Tibetan Buddhism. Therefore, I wish to learn how to read and even write standard Tibetan, and also becoming familiar to speak and understand Tibetan conversation.
My level is a beginner with with no understand of the grammar and has no conversationa l skills. The plan is to learn on from a teacher for 1 - 1.5 hours on a bi-weekly basis.
The quality I see in a teacher is being able to teach central Tibetan dialect, which most of the Gelugpa teachers will be using. And systematicall y teach me the letters, writings, readings, and daily Tibetan conversations .
