I am a first-year Phd student of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the University of Chicago and I am focusing on Ottoman and Safavid cultural relations in the 16th century.
I studied Persian for two and a half years years back when I was a masters student in Turkey and I want to develop my skills as much as I can in Tehran, in Summer 2010.
I want to develop my skills in all fields: Listening, Speaking, Writing and Reading, though I expect to be able to give an academic speech in Persian at the end of the course.
I need an intensive course of 1 to 1,5 month (2 hours per day, 5 days per week) and I am ready to spend all my evenings to study Persian during my stay in Tehran.
My teacher should be able to understand how I learn, and where I have most problems in. The fact that he/she will be willing to help me as much as he/she could would be more than helpful.

I am pursuing Polish because of more career opportunities it may give me and for my personal reasons that I love the language and want to be fluent in another language.
I would say that I am conversationa l or intermediate level.
Howev er, I feel that specifically I need improvement in grammar and of course in having a larger vocabulary.
I would like to dedicate a couple times a week for 2.5 months this summer, however, only if it is affordable.
I am looking for someone that is easy to talk with and that enjoys speaking about Poland.
