I have family in Croatia and have visited many times. I wish to continue to learn the language. I have done some of the basics, but never taken a real course. Hello,
My name is Chloe Rudyard and I have been wanting to learn Croatian for a while. My grandmother is from there and I have always been fascinated by it and want to learn more. I'd like to be able to speak and understand conversations when they are speaking and also learn a bit about the culture. I don't know anything except the typical 'how are you?' ect. I would definitely be at beginners level.

I am wanting to learn Croatian in hopes of completing a certification course for TEFL. It's a program that allows people to teach English out of the country. I am definitely a beginner, but I tend to grasp things fairly quickly. I would need to be proficient in all areas of the language. As I've stated already, I am planning on taking a certification course which would require me to be so. I want to dedicate at least 2 days out of the week for learning Croatian, the rest I would spend on my own time studying. I would really enjoy it if my teacher would assign homework assignments along with the lessons and review. I would also like it if they possibly had their own materials handy to teach from; not necessary though. Or at least direct me on what/and how I should be learning the language. Thank you.

I would like to learn these languages, because when i am older, i would like to be a succesful translater and/or english teacher. I most importantly want to learn russian and croatian because Russian is fun to learn and my cousin knows russian, I want to learn croatian because i have a friend who lives in croatia. I know very little words in croatian, but some sentences in russian. I am familiar with russian greetings, how to write them, and the pronuciation of the russian letters. I think i need improvement on the russian accent, I just can't get it 100% right. I would like to spend as much time as I can learning the languages. Maybe even 2-3 hours a day every day! But I wouldn't want to upset the tutor. I am looking to be very fluent in Russian, and in croatian i would just like to be able to carry on an average conversation.
