My fiance and all of his family and friends are Thai. It's not very fun to go to dinner when you can't understand what they're saying especially when you hear your name come up several times. I know very little thai, just a few basic things like colors, days of the week, yes, no, and some things regaurding food because they own two restaraunt. I need to learn to hold conversations . I am willing to dedicate lots of time to learning if someone will teach me. i need a teacher who will work with me until i get the language right and will say things over for me so i can learn to say them properly. I need someone nice and understanding that wants me to learn as much as I want to.

I am a beginner with some immersion experience and very little informal training. I have tried to continue learning through friends and Rosetta Stone, but feel I lack the discipline to reach the next level without a formal tutor. I have been to Thailand several times and fell in love deeper and deeper each time as I vacationed there. I am really interested in the culture, language, history, and just about everything else. I want to learn a lot about Thailand and its people. I would love to own a home there one day.
I am looking for someone who can preferably offer lessons in person (I learn better that way), but will not limit myself. I want someone passionate and knowledgeable about the language and the culture as I am easily influenced by those who are.
I am a beginner. I have bought a book once to help me learn, but apparently couldn't. I need a native person to teach me. Please HELP!

I am a beginner and really want to become proficient in all aspects of the Thai language from reading and writing to proper speaking.
I want to learn because I have many friends I have met from there and I keep going back to Thailand (3 times in 9 months) and find it a bit frustrating that I can't communicate efficiently. This is my fault as I have not taken the time yet to learn.
I want to spend a lot of time learning the language. I have already purchased several different books, CD's and software programs to assist me though I have only been using them for about 1 month.
I am looking for someone who can be patient and will make learning fun. Thai I realize is a very difficult language and if it isn't fun, I am not sure if I would be as motivated as I am now.
