Why you are learning your foreign language?
I really enjoy french. I am even thinking of getting a degree in french. I work with Computers. Server support at the moment.

I really need help with conversation. I have studied for a while with Alliance Francais, SMU French Course, Richland French Course, Online via Carnegie Mellon University Open Learning courses. I really need one to one dedicated work with conversation skills.
Ho w much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons.
2 hours per week face to face. Plus homework and study at home.
What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher?

I am a beginner, though I do have some learning experience - a long time ago. I would like to learn French to satisfy academic requirements for literature programs I am considering applying to, as well for my own personal growth. I can dedicate 20+ hours per week to my studies. I enjoy French films, food and music. I hope to find a teacher that enjoys teaching and will readily recommend media and other cultural activities I can realize to become better acquainted with the French language and culture.

I am looking to be fluent in another language aside from English. I love to travel and a lot of the people in my inner circle speak French. I also am pursuing a career in International social work and picking up on a second language would be quite beneficial. I have taken French many many years ago but it appears that i have forgotten a lot of it if not most of it.

I want to learn French out of general interest. I have relatives in France and when I visit I would like to hold conversations in French. My proficiency level is very beginner. I have studied some DVDs in recent past,and some group classes many many years ago. I need improvement in all areas, but I am most interested in conversation, but I do want to improve grammar also.
I am interested in group classes, if available. I live in downtown Detroit, and I could offer my house for a group class, if needed.
I am looking for a teacher that is patience, understanding of difficulties in learning a foreign language at my age, and who will make my experience enjoyable and not stressful.
I travel a little bit, but I would like to invest an average of one class per week (2hrs if possible) and additional personal study time. I do not work and have some flexibility with schedules.
P lease send me information on good teachers, rates, group classes available, and schedules, and locations. Thank you so much.
