I know little Afikaans from time the 2 years I spent in South Africa. My wife is also english/afric aan South African born.
I wish to learn afrikaans so I can speak with my in-laws and teach my child, so she can learn the language heritage.
I think the areas I need working is all, but mostly grammar, conversation and pronunciation .
I would like to dedicate a couple of hours a week.

I am wanting to learn Afrikaans as I have an Afrikaans boyfriend and I would like to be able to understand his family and friends, and also speak myself. I am currently a beginner in the language. I need improvement in the pronunciation of the language. I am willing to spend the amount of time per week as advised by the teacher. I am looking for a teacher who is understanding and patient.. and most of all who I will learn from!

I'm a beginner but I do ha some working knowledge and can form some basic sentences and phrases. My verloofde is South African and while he has given me some lessons, I want to surprise him with my improved knowledge of the language the next time we see each other.
I'm preferably looking to meet about once at week for an hour at a time (or whatever works for you, I am flexiable) to work on mainly speech bu reading and writing as well. I would like a teacher who is paitient, has a sense of humour and is willing to work with me to because a natural at Afrikaans! Baie dankie!
