My husband and I are interested in learning Danish, as we are planning to move to Denmark later in the year for work. We are absolute beginners- we need to learn the language from scratch! I have recently undertaken a German course in Germany at the B1 level and wish to keep up my German when I return home. I can read newspaper texts, articles from Der Spiegel and similar texts without too much difficulty. I want to improve my reading and writing skills to enable me to write in German to friends, express opinions on current topics and to become more familiar with the German legal system. My preferred means of learning is by email. The tutor refers me to a lesson or text, I study it and complete exercises and send for marking.
I prefer 'traditional' textbooks such as Russon's German grammar textbooks with the opportunity to do some translating from English to German of selected texts.
I don't care where the tutor is located as contact will be by email.
I hope this does not sound too unorthodox to potential tutors.

I can speak Hindi (not much practice now) but not read or write. I have always though that I would have access to alot more learning especially when it came to ancient texts if I could read and write. I also have a 3 yo son and want to know how to read and write so I can teach him.
My hindi is not that fluent because I dont get much practice but would like to be able to.
I really want to increase my vocabalary. I dont really know anything about the gammar or sentence construction.
Not sure exactly how much time but at least weekly lessons and 'practice' during the week.
In a teacher I want someone who is engaging and can make the subject matter interesting. I promise to be interested and a good student.
