I am learning Japanese because I am Japanese but do not speak the language. It has always interested me and I love Japanese culture despite it not being carried on in my family.
I am a beginner Japanese learner. I am currently taking first year Japanese at college (it is university equivalent) at Langara.
I would need help in sentence structure and translations.
I will dedicate as much time as needed to help improve my understanding and grade within reason.
I am looking for an understanding and patient teacher. I will admit I am stubborn but I am bright and willing to learn despite my approaches to academics.

I would like to learn Japanese because my family and I are going there this summer, and I would love to be able to talk to the locals around there. I also have a passion for all Japanese culture. I have tried self learning cd’s and none have worked, but I am able to comprehend a couple of common words, so I would say that I’m a beginner. I need improvement in everything possible. I would like to dedicate a lot of time to learning Japanese. I would like a teacher who would take it slow, but also push me to my best abilities.
