Ideally, would love to learn Romanian in a classroom environment and have the chance to meet other foreigners in Bucharest going through the same adaptation process. I am in my twenties and have travelled around the world.

I live in the Bucharest area, have been here over 22 months, have permit to stay, but I need to know the language, It is very hard for me to learn and I need to have interaction of both langauges I read and speak some words now. Hello, I am a beginner to the Romanian language. I currently work on a cruise ship and a large percentage of the crew and my friends are from Romania. I would like to be involved more in the conversation and know what is going on so I plan to learn Romanian. I usually travel to Bucharest once a year. My next trip will be October 1, 2005 until November 6, 2005. I am seeking language training for the 4 weeks when I am in the country. I am looking for a teacher that has an adaptive approach and can change the lessons to meet the needs of the individual student. I would prefer a younger teacher that would be famaliar with current slang vocabulary but this is not nessacery.
