I would like to speak with you regarding lessons to learn Dutch. I am getting married in late August 2007 and will be moving to The Netherlands with my new husband (who is from Holland). Once I am there I will be looking for a job, so I would like to have at least the basics down. I am looking to start as a beginner. I read your profile and review and would like to speak with regarding your availability for tutoring for the next couple months. I also noticed you went to San Diego State University as did I. Also I work in the hospitality industry and have for many years, which I noticed you have a degree in International Hospitality management. My brother and I are looking to take Dutch lessons as we are planning on moving to the Netherlands in the near future. We live in Langley, but have vehicles and are able to drive. We are total beginners, having to experience at all with the language. We're planning on taking classes once a week but we are quite flexible on that. We will be needing lessons asap.

I am starting from scratch, but I need to learn Dutch for my career. I am most interested in the conversation part of the language since most of my business takes place over the phone or in meetings.
I am willing to dedicate at least a few hours a week to instruction, that is, unless someone would want to teach me in an immersion-typ e style.

In 2006 I lived for 3 months in Vlaams Brabent, Belgium where I commenced Dutch lessons. I very much enjoyed learning the language and wish to continue with a view to possibly working in Holland in the future. My lessens previously were mainly based around everyday conversation and situations, including vocabulary, grammer, pronunciation . I learnt using the present, past, perfect and future tenses. I did 3 weeks lessens at 2 hours a day but since returning to England it is fading fast. I would like to study probably 2 hours a week and need a tutor who is relaxed and friendly.
