I wish to learn Russian as a second language purely out of interest. In the future I hope to travel to Russia and would enjoy the experience, I think, to a greater extent if I spoke fluent Russian. I am a beginner. I would dedicate one or two lessons a week within my routine and practice in my own time to learning Russian. The qualities that I am looking for in my lessons are that of steady progress and a pace that is best suited to my learning style. I would benefit most from a patient teacher.

Hi there!
I am starting a job placement in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in April 2012. I am a beginner and want to be able to converse with locals outside the office - I am unlikely to need to know Brazilian Portuguese for work purposes. I am currently doing both Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone courses, but want to spend time with a native speaker to consolidate and improve my learning.
