I am a beginner/inte rmediate italian learner. I understand what I read much better than what I hear. I need to learn to hear and speak properly as well as learn proper grammar. I would like to dedicate 3-4 hours a week to face to face lessons, and will work outside of these on my own.
For the teacher, I am looking for someone who can help the vocabulary and sounds stick in my mind and help me with pronunciation . Most of all, someone who is patient and has a sense of humor! I don't mind laughing at myself!

I'm a writer and cook working on a project that brings me to Italy. I will be spending some time near La Spezia and Carrara and then traveling South to Puglia. I am a student of Slavic Languages and studied Russian and Serbian at University. I have basic skills in French as well. I moved to Italy from England in early July 2006 and have been learning Italian at home via a 'Linkword' computer course. I have learnt a fair amount of vocabulary through this but I now need to get more spoken practice to give me confidence in social situations and in dealing with day to day communication .
I have moved to Italy with my husband due to his job and we will hopefully remain in the country.
I am able to give a lot of time to lessons as I do not work and would prefer lessons during the day.
I am looking for a patient tutor who will give me the confidence to use what I have already learnt, increase my language skills, and improve my understanding and communication with Italians.

I am a beginner but have picked up a little Italian from friends.
I am learning Italian to better communicate with my boyfriend's family. Unfortunately , they speak dialect (of Val di Non) amoungst themselves which has made it difficult to learn Italian from them. Also, in my field of work (internationa l law) it would be helpful to have a second language.
I need help with everything - grammar, vocabulary, conversation.
I will be in Italy for three months starting on August 21, 2006 and would like to dedicate several hours per day to studying Italian.
I am looking for a teacher in the Trento area. It would be nice to have someone with some teaching experience but it is not necessary.
