I don't speak thai at all. I want to learn thai because I visit thailand once a month and would really like to be able to communicate in thai. I would like to spend 1 - 3 hours per week on learning. I like to look for a male teacher.... speaking the language is more important at this stage, and the teacher must be fl uent in both english and thai or in both chinese in thai....

I have recently come back from a 4 week stay in Thailand and am planning to take an extended break there next year. I have no Thai at all but am willing to learn all I can before I go next year.
2 lessons a week would suit, depending on cost.
Teac her must have a good understanding of English Language.

1)Proficiency : I learned for 2 years at INALCO PARIS (Institut National des Langues et Cultures Orientales = 'Langues'O' Paris). Now working in Panama, I cannot succeed in meeting with thai speaking people, hence I am forgetting fast.
2) Why ? Mainly for pleasure. Very few chances that my boss will send me to work in Meuang Thai.
3) Can write & read, willing to improve all.
4) Availability : About 2/3 hours per week

Hi, I hope there are some Thais living in Ireland who can help me. I lived in Thailand for a year, working as an English Teacher. I lived in Sri Racha, Chonburi and also Krabi - so I know standard Bangkok thai and some south Thai. I picked up the basics of the language and can hold a conversation. I am returning to marry a Thai man and start a business so I would like to learn more and practise what I learned before I forget! I would like to find a Thai national in my area who can teach me more. I am interested in learning more conversationa l Thai. I would like to have lessons about twice a week - for about an hour. The qualities I look for in a teacher are: thai national with patience and basic english.
