I would like to take classes to learn French for a trip that I plan to take to Paris within the next year. In high school, I took two years of French, and loved learning the language and about the country and its people. I am looking for a personable teacher who shares this enthusiasm. I have studied Spanish and am interested in learning French. I want to learn French for my own interests i.e., travelling, general communication . I am a beginner in French and would need to start from scratch... especially with pronunciation ! I'm looking for classes geared for practical conversation and learning the basics to build on in the future. Ideally, the teacher would be a patient, native speaker skilled in teaching pronunciation and breaking down the language into the basics and also work in person. My time available to dedicate to learning would be approximately 4-6 hrs/wk.
