To whom it may concern, I am a serious student wanting to take on, and develop my skills in a foreign language. My girl friend, whom I am very serious about is from Bulgaria, and I have tried my best to lean the Bulgarian language. With her help I have been able to read and pronounce the cyrillic alphabet, writ simple words, and speak simple sentences. However, she doesn't have the skills to teach me proper grammar, and sentence structure so I can understand the relations of the language. My goal is to be able to read, write, and speak fluently. I am a beginner in learning Russian. I wish to learn quickly in order to communicate better with acquaintances in the Ukraine and Belarus. I am willing to spend several hours each day on the task, for several months, at least. My family is adopting a 4 year old Cantonese, Chinese girl in November, 2004 and we want to learn basic language skills to ease her transition to U.S.A. She speaks only Chinese. I have an 8 year old boy and a 10 year old boy and myself - so three of us that wish to learn conversationa l Cantonese.
