i am a beginner, i am learning japanese for career, as well as facination with the culture, i need improvement all around. i will dedicate as much time as i have to the lessons, i am looking for a teachter that can actually halp me learn, and acheive communication skills quickly. i have baisics down to a degree, but need to work from the ground up with the teacher so i can learn it as taught not as i taught myself.

I would like to start learning how to speak and read Thai. My wife and I are planning to move to Thailand in about 3 years and would like to get some basic understanding of the language before moving there.
I would like to have one to two sessions a week. I expect the teacher to speak formal thai with some teaching experience.

Proficiency level: beginner. Know a few hundred words and am currently learning the alphabet.
I want to learn the language because I live in Detroit and there are a great number of people in this area that speak Arabic. I look at it as a challenge. It should be fun.
I have no written skills at this point, but am more interested in learning to speak the language first.
I could spend a few hours a week learning.
I would need someone to teach me that has some patience as I am a beginner but they should know that they would not be wasting their time as I am determined to learn the language.
