I am a native English speaker currently living in Athens. Have studied Spanish in the past and was fairly fluent (about 20 years ago). I would like to 'relearn' Spanish for career enhancement.
Need improvement in listening and speaking most of all; reading is still pretty good.
I would like roughly two lessons per week - about 6 hours total. Flexible schedule, but prefer weekday afternoons.
I prefer that my teacher is able to speak English.

I am learning German because my wife and her family are German. I would rate my proficiency level as basic to moderate. Through exposure to the language and doing some lessons I have found that my comprehension (both reading and listening) has progressed much faster than my speaking and writing. I found it useful previously to have lessons while having regular contact with the language through my wife and her family, to understand the grammar and also force me to learn in a more structured way and build confidence to communicate more quickly. I would be looking to have lessons once per week, face to face either in group class or individual. In a teacher I am looking for someone that encourages communication , uses real life and up to date source material and uses grammar to assist with learning, not as the basis.
