Hi, I am a 26 year old male interested in studying the Finnish language. I am planning an overseas trip to Finland in around 12 months, so I would like to develop at least an intermediate level of conversationa l skills. I currently only have a very basic knowledge, so I would like to start from a beginner level. I am looking at studying approximately 1-2 nights per week.

I want to learn Finnish as it is part of my background. I have some Finnish relatives who are coming to visit next year and would love to be able to communicate with them! I'm only a beginner, I know a few words and phrases as my parents and other relatives speak fluently. I've recently just finished high school so I have a lot of time to learn :) I would like to be taught by a teacher who is fluent and knows modern conversation.

I wish to attain a basic level of Finnish in the six months preceding my three month stay in Finland, which will be in June.
I have self-studied Finnish for many years, but haven't attained a level I'm satisfied with.
