In the languages listed above, I have yet no proficiency.
I would like to learn any of these (the order indicates my preference) since I am generally very interested in languages. I am pursuing a research degree in UCC in Early Irish language and literature and French.
I speak German, English and French fluently and have a small bit of modern Irish. I also know Latin, Greek, Old Irish and Medieval Welsh.
I am interested in having 1-2 hours per week depending on my own timetable. During the lesson I am looking for grammar, writing, reading and of course speaking. Though I instinctively pick up languages fast, I prefer a solid grammatical base as it helps me understand the structure and I feel more comfortable when speaking.
Th erefore the tutor should have very good grammatical understanding of the teaching language.

Hello there, My name is Síle O' Shea. I have recently completed a BA in UCC and plan to continue my education in an MA in Speech and Language therapy. I am taking a year out from my college education this 2010-2011 year and wish to gain extra skills which will prove useful in the future, such as Sign Language. I would like to know what course is available in Cork, and how much it will cost. I am willing to dedicate allot of time to learning this as I believe it will be very beneficial in the future.
