I am in love with languages. I am Afrikaans by origin, but I speak English fluently, I speak French fairly well and I can help myself quite wel in German and understand most of it.
In grade 10 (2011) I taught myself the Russian alphabet and I can now pronounce some words a bit, but of course not correctly as I've heard there are some differences in the way Russians pronunciate the words in comparison to my pronunciation .
I visited St Petersburg and Moscow last year in December and I got frustrated that I couldn't speak or understand anything. But I enjoyed pronunciating some of the words I read on magazines and billboards etc. My tour guide helped me a lot as well!
I've always liked Russian and I would like to speak it or at least have a working ability in understanding it.
I know Russian is a very difficult language so I am not expecting to be fluent afterwards but I'd like to have a good grasp to it.
I am studying at the university at the moment so I know class times might be a bit difficult, but this is really something I'd like to pursue!

I want to learn other languages because I want to do international security both private and military. I am a beginner and do struggle a bit with getting started and used to languages. But I am willing to push through. I would like at least twice a week or as I can be permitted as I am a working student busy with my degree as well. I am looking for some one that is patient, and willing to understand why I am actually studding these languages.
