I am a complete beginner having no background in any of the Balkan languages. My background is English and a bit of spanish.
I want to learn Slovenian because my fiance is a Native Slovenian and I'd like to be able to converse with him in his language as opposed to always speaking in English. Also, his family speaks Slovenian and many of them don't speak English at all.
I need improvement in all areas including grammar, conversation, vocabulary, etc.
I would be willing to dedicate an hour a day to my lessons.

I currently study the Slovenian language once every two weeks in a classroom of 25 students with a native speaker. I am looking for a teacher who could either video conference via the internet, or through e-mail assignments once per week for an hour at a time. I am married to a woman from Slovenia and in my wife's opinion, I am at an advanced beginner or an intermediate level. I understand more than I am able to speak. Dear Potential Teacher(s),
I am a beginner and would like to learn Slovenian for purposes of travel and I am planning to live there for about 1 year (in Ljubljana).
Since I have little experience with the language I would need instruction in all areas..gramma r, reading, writing, listening, and most importantly speaking.
I am willing to dedicate as much time as is possible to learning this language; I'll be working and travel is involved so I need to be realistic but I feel I need to practice it every day. ..if I could devote at least an hour a day I would be happy.
So I think it's important to have a teacher who is patient but who will also push me (in class and also with outside assignments); who will give correction and focus mainly on speaking and listening.
