I am French, I am 19 years old, I am here for one year and I have studied Chinese at Unversity in France.
*W hy are you learning Chinese?
At the beginning, I choosed to learn Chinese to discover a new foreign language, and a new culture.
I learned Chinese for 4 years, but just a little everyweek. I would like to improve my Chinese (who is actually not good at all, because I stopped for almost one year) during my year here in the United States, because I want to take Languages as a major at University (English and Chinese) when I will go back to France.
I would like to find a teacher who help me to improve oral and written comprehension and conversations , and also to be able to speak about and to understand conversations of everyday life.

I lived in Turkey as a child and spoke fluent turkish then. I however moved out of Turkey and did not have anyone around me who could speak and so forgot how to !! I would I am a beginner. They do say languages you learnt as a child come back to you so I am hoping if I start learning again it will be easy. I want to relearn because I loved being in Turkey and would like to be able to travel back and perhaps converse with my father ( who does speak the language ). Also, I think a second language helps in a lot of ways. I spoke perfect Turkish according to my parents and would like to be able to do so again. I do a job which is one week on one week off. So I should be able to give it 2 or 3 days a week every other week. I am looking for a teacher who is patient and native to Turkey.
