Hello. I am interested in learning to speak Spanish AND for my daughters to become fluent in Spanish. I would like to learn this language because my husband is from Puerto Rico; English is his second language. Traveling to the island and spending time with his family would be made easier if I could speak the language. And I believe he is interested in completing an assignment in a Spanish speaking country.
This is our second overseas assignment and it is very clear to me that speaking more than one language is important in this competitive world. I really want my daughters to speak more than English. I am willing to devote three hours / week to this effort. And I would like for my daughters to study with a tudor collectively three hours per week as well. We live in An Phu Compound in District 2 and our house would be a good place for us to learn. While living in China, my daughters and I studied Mandarin. The teacher was very effective with them by playing games and having 'fun' conversations . For me, I need a teacher who is patient, as I am older and finding learning a new language challenging.
