To whom it may concern,
I am interested in learning conversationa l Hindi. I am Indian by heritage/cult ure, but was born and brought up in Canada and am currently studying in Detroit, Michigan. I can speak some Hindi that I have learned over the years through my parents, books, school, and other resources, but not enough to be thoroughly confident in speaking. I wish to be at that type of level for various personal and educational reasons. If there is a teacher only available in Toronto (or the GTA), Ontario - I can arrange to study there as I do visit home often. Thank you.

I am now learning to read and right devanagari. I feel with some guidance I can master that aspect in a very short period of time. I can already recognize many key words in hindi, such as question words who, what, where, when, why, and how. I want to learn Hindi because I will be traveling to India next year and hope it will make the trip easier. I have somewhat of an affinity for language and I don't anticipate that pronunciation will be much of a challenge.
I'm willing to dedicate about three sessions a week to my language lessons. 1-2 hour sessions would be ideal. I'm looking for a teacher who is funny and laid back. I have a slightly different style of learning, and need a teacher who can be flexible with that. I am extremely motivated to learn Hindi.

I have been traveling to India for the past seven years. I have a basic understanding on the Devanagari alphabet and would like to be able to translate Hindi lectures into English. I would be a beginner in learning Hindi. I want to learn it for career advancement, to communicate with other Indians, and to hang onto my cultural background because I am originally from India. I'd like to focus on reading, writing, grammar, and conversation. I'd like to dedicate 4 hours per week to being tutored because I want to learn as much as possible in a short amount of time.
