I am looking for a Mandarin native speaking teacher for an after school program at an elementary school to start as early as January 2005. We are looking for someone who has experience with a thoroughly planned curriculum, which includes the use of stories, songs, etc. to teach the children the Mandarin language. We plan to hold the classes twice a week, either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, from 2pm to 3pm. There is a possibility in expansion of the program to five days a week depending on interest. Class size will depend on enrollment but is estimated to be between 10 to 15 students.

I live in San Francisco but will be in Stockholm from December through February. I've been learning Italian for about 2 years and would like to stay sharp while I'm in Stockholm. My proficiency is between a beginner and intermediate. I'd like to do one session per week, about 1 hour long. Very beginner -- I know a few phrases that I can recall from one course at Italingua. I plan to go to Italy in the spring of 2005 and am Italian. I've always wanted to learn my native language.
I would like to get some tutoring on the weekends so I can practice during the week on my own. Languages don't come easily to me as I am very visual but I think, with good tutoring, I can start to get a good command of the conversationa l elements.
I need a teacher who is fun and really enjoys the beauty of the language. Also a teacher who will focus on practical application.

I am not a speaker of arabic but after my trip to egypt I want proficiency in the language in order to understand at least the basics and to communicate my basic needs for the next time that I go to Egypt. I need to start from the very beginning.
I am looking for a teacher who is dedicated to teaching the language, who gives good instruction primarily in pronunciation and speaking. I am not looking to write or read arabic at this time but prefer conversation skills.
Th e time dedicated to my instruction should be flexible since I have a job that does not afford me to be off on specific days or nights. but at least 1 hour per week with home work lessons that will help me to improve while not with the teacher.
